Faye Badon – Castillo
Chief Operating Officer & Program Manager
Faye started dancing since she was a little girl. She first learned ballet at the age of 4 and eventually fell in love with the mainstream dance style of jazz and hip-hop. She was trained under the prestigious Halili-Cruz School of Dance in the Philippines, where she also gained her experience in stage performance. She traveled and compete internationally with the group and won several awards in ballet category in the Asia Pacific Dance Competition held in Singapore in 2000. During this time, Faye was also the chairwoman of her secondary school dance troupe in St. Mary’s College. She choreographed and led the group in school performances as well as inter-school competitions.
In college, Faye joined Footworks Dance Theater where she developed her desire to learn further in modern contemporary dance, which is something very new to her. She was exposed to numerous dance concerts, dance competitions and performances throughout her college years. After college, in an international turning point in her dancing career, she was hired in Hong Kong Disneyland as a pioneer member of the performing crew’s Opening Team as a Parade Dancer in 2005. She was part of the team’s shows including High School Musical, Waterworks Parade, Mickey’s Rockin’ the Mouse Show to name a few. She also joined hip-hop competitions outside Disney with the group Phil-yo. The group won champion at the Hard Rock Hip-Hop Competition 2007 and first place at The Queen All Girls Hip-hop competition in 2009. After 5 years in Disney’s parade team, Faye joined the Lion King Show as chorus dancer for almost 3 years.
After more than 20 years of performing, Faye finally decided to take a leap and pursue her dream of having a dance-fitness school with her husband Bill. A new challenge was born and she found out that this is exactly what she is looking for; to share in the joy of dance to both children and adults. Faye together with Bill continues to teach and share their passion, skill and knowledge in their dance classes. Faye as an energetic motivational teacher in the dance room, inspires students and challenges them to improve their dancing so they can exceed their boundaries.
Faye earned her Bachelor of Arts college degree in Consular Diplomatic Affairs in 2005 at the De La Salle – College of St. Benilde in Manila.
