Our team consists of professional individuals who aims to share the gift of passion and movement to anyone who wants to change their lives through dance. Our group brings a wealth of skill and experience in both teaching and dance techniques. Along with maintaining the tradition of dance fitness programs already established, we aspire to introduce new dance programs as well.  It is our goal to bring out the personal best in each individual talent.

 

Our company boasts a roster of instructors of the most sought after dancers and choreographers in the dance community. Each instructor has the passion and pleasure to share with you the beauty and joy of movement through the art of dance… an experience we hope remains with you throughout your life.

Bill Castillo

Director & Kids Pop Singing Coach

Bill has been trained in the performing arts at an early age. In his secondary school, he was a member of the famous sing and dance group ambassadors of La Salle Greenhills called “Kundirana” which honed his artistic talent in singing and performing. He traveled numerous times in the US to sing and perform representing the school and the country. Since then, he developed his passion for performing. In college, he was a member of organizations, Coro San Benildo, a chorale group and Footworks Dance Theater furthering his discipline in the art of modern dance, theater performance and singing.

Bill has been trained in the performing arts at an early age. He traveled numerous times in the US to sing and perform representing the school and the country. Since then, he developed his passion for performing. In college, he was a member of organizations, Coro San Benildo, a chorale group and Footworks Dance Theater furthering his discipline in the art of modern dance, theater performance and singing.

After graduating college, he went to Hong Kong and was taken in as the vocal male soloist in the High School Musical LIVE and performed in the Golden Mickeys Theatre as the lead vocalist too. He also performed in different events under Hong Kong Disneyland throughout his international career. After a 3-year stint in Disney, he pursued his career as a funky dance instructor in prestigious dance-fitness centers. Not long after, Bill together with his wife Faye established Dance for Joy HK, a dance-fitness center that caters to mom and kids alike. In a short period of time, Bill was able to make a name for himself by bringing physical and spiritual wellness to a much larger clientele in Tung Chung through dance.

Furthermore, Bill Castillo is a graduate at the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde in Manila where he earned a Bachelor of Science college degree in Business Administration majoring in Export Management in 2007. He also taught English in a reputable school in Tin Hau before he focused on his entertainment career.

Faye Castillo

Program Director

Faye started dancing since she was a little girl. She first learned ballet at the age of 4 and eventually fell in love with the mainstream dance style of jazz and hip-hop. She was trained under the prestigious Halili-Cruz School of Dance in the Philippines, where she also gained her experience in stage performance. She traveled and compete internationally with the group and won several awards in ballet category in the Asia Pacific Dance Competition held in Singapore in 2000. During this time, Faye was also the chairwoman of her secondary school dance troupe in St. Mary’s College. She choreographed and led the group in school performances as well as inter-school competitions.

In college, Faye joined Footworks Dance Theater where she developed her desire to learn further in modern contemporary dance, which is something very new to her. She was exposed to numerous dance concerts, dance competitions and performances throughout her college years. After college, in an international turning point in her dancing career, she was hired in Hong Kong Disneyland as a pioneer member of the performing crew’s Opening Team as a Parade Dancer in 2005. She was part of the team’s shows including High School Musical, Waterworks Parade, Mickey’s Rockin’ the Mouse Show to name a few. She also joined hip-hop competitions outside Disney with the group Phil-yo. The group won champion at the Hard Rock Hip-Hop Competition 2007 and first place at The Queen All Girls Hip-hop competition in 2009. After 5 years in Disney’s parade team, Faye joined the Lion King Show as chorus dancer for almost 3 years.

After more than 20 years of performing, Faye finally decided to take a leap and pursue her dream of having a dance-fitness school with her husband Bill. A new challenge was born and she found out that this is exactly what she is looking for; to share in the joy of dance to both children and adults. Faye together with Bill continues to teach and share their passion, skill and knowledge in their dance classes. Faye as an energetic motivational teacher in the dance room, inspires students and challenges them to improve their dancing so they can exceed their boundaries.

Faye earned her Bachelor of Arts college degree in Consular Diplomatic Affairs in 2005 at the De La Salle – College of St. Benilde in Manila.

Nikki Nina Cheng

Creative Director and Head Choreographer

A professional dancer trained in ballet and hiphop with Halili-Cruz School of Dance in 1994-2000. Nikki started performing professionally with Footworks Dance Theatre from 2000-2004 while learning other dance genres such as jazz funk and contemporary. In 2005, she joined Hong Kong Disneyland’s Opening Team for Disney on Parade, then eventually joined The Lion King as a show dancer. She is Dance for Joy’s head choreographer in corporate events including the Cathay Pacific Chinese New Year Parade 2017-2019, where she gained outstanding choreography reviews. She’s currently one of the opening cast in Hong Kong Disneyland’s newly opened show, Mickey and the Wondrous Book.

Noelle Dohl Cruz Diño

Jazz Program Head

Noelle has been known to be very versatile in her craft. She received her pre-professional dance training on scholarship from De La Salle – College of St. Benilde and Ballet Philippines. A committed dance teacher who is very keen to share her passion for dance to everyone. Just recently Noelle entered a career in Fitness. She believes that Fitness added more enthusiasm and positivity to every class she teaches. Her professional dancer, dance teacher, fitness Instructor, and choreographer qualifications includes: Hong Kong Disneyland Opening Team (Disney on Parade 2005-2010), Certified Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance Jazz, 2 years teaching experience of the Jazz Addict Syllabus, Dance for Joy’s Assistant Choreographer for Cathay Pacific’s Chinese New Year Parade 2015-2019, Fitour Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. She is also a POUND Pro, KANGOO Discovery, The MIX by Piloxing and Bounce Dance Fit Certified Instructor. She is Dance for Joy’s jazz program teacher at Discovery Mind International Kindergarten at Discovery bay and Hip-Hop ECA teacher for and Christian Alliance International School.

Ria Victorino

Jazz Funk & Hip-Hop Dance Teacher

Ria Victorino is a well trained and versatile dancer. A graduate of De La Salle University College of Saint Benilde. Ria is trained in Jazz, Jazz Funk, Hiphop, Modern and Ballroom. She was one of the pioneers and founding member of Gforce, a well respected dance company from the Philippines. She has performed at numerous platforms including televisin, concerts, Southeast Asean games Opening Ceremony and Theme Parks. As a dance teacher she is delighted to express and share her talents. She strives for all her students o flourish and gain confidence through dance. Ria’s classes are fun, energetic and inspiring-they will surely make you feel the joy of dance!

Arm Pratubsak

Adult Hip-Hop & Jazz Funk Teacher

Arm, born and raised in Thailand, is a professional dancer and choreographer. He attended Chulalongkorn University where he majored ballet. He was also a dance teacher in several dance schools and TV shows in Thailand before landing a job in Hong Kong Disneyland’s stage shows Festival of the Lion King and Mickey and the Wondrous Book. Arm continuous to share his passion in our adult and teens classes.  He choreographed dance pieces for DFJ events and recent recital.

Dazha Dacanay

GymnasTRICKS Head & Hip-Hop Teacher

Lady Dazha or Teacher Dazha to her students, started dancing at the age of four. She took up classical ballet, jazz, modern ballet, gymnastics and hiphop. She passed with Distinction marks the examinations conducted by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (ACB). In 2011, she joined the Hong Disneyland as a cast member of the parade team until 2015. During her stay in Disneyland, she, together with The Movement, won the title for Hong Kong’s Best Dance Crew in 2012. Lady Dazha now teaches cheer squad and hiphop for Dance For Joy. She hopes to continue sharing the joy of dance to the young and the old, to those who are willing to learn and  to those who sees dance as a way of expressing themselves.
