FAYE CASTILLO
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Faye first came to Hong Kong in 2005 as a Hong Kong Disneyland’s opening team member. She was part of the Disney on Parade, High School Musical Live cast, and the Lion King Show. She is known to be versatile in her craft. Faye first trained in ballet at age four and eventually fell in love with the mainstream jazz and hip-hop dance styles. She was trained under the prestigious Halili-Cruz School of Dance in the Philippines, where she also gained experience in stage performance. She travelled and competed internationally with the group and won several awards in the ballet category in the Asia Pacific Dance Competition. Faye trained and honed her modern & contemporary dance with Footworks Dance Theatre in De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Major in Diplomacy & International Affairs.
In 2014, after more than 20 years of performing, Faye and her husband, Bill, finally decided to pursue their dream and founded their company, Dance for Joy. The company has two branches located in Causeway Bay & Tung Chung. Dance for Joy is known for training students to be stage-ready. Faye manages the company events, competitions, and studio curriculum while continuing to teach and share her passion, skill, and knowledge in her dance classes. As an energetic, motivational teacher, Faye inspires her students and challenges them to improve their dancing so they can exceed their boundaries.
